Jacaranda flower

A mature Jacaranda tree in full bloom is truly a spectacular sight. My tree has taken five years to show flowers and that's why I'm crowing.
The secret is to feed it cow manure in winter. In fact all flowering trees have done very well this season with the addition of cow manure.

My Jacaranda as you can see is still a teenager. The leaves (which fall off in October) will sprout again following the flowers.
