Bromeliads (updated)
I started with one plant, after it flowered the flower wilts, the plant generates pups and then the pups flower. The four plants here are the pups from the original. In two years they should be double that number.
Beautiful Blooms. I had seen some bromeliads for sale at a local do it yourself store, but I worry it might get to hot here in the summer and too cold in the winter. It gets up to 115F for prolonged periods in the summer, yet we experience frosts in the winter. My house is a dark pit,so growing them indoors ins;t an option...
thanks for sharing the pictures, I really enjoyed the flowers.
truly, lex,
ReplyDeletethese might be
some of the most amazing
plants on the entire planet
and that you grow all of these in your back yard -- like a living work of art
fantastic!

Thanks /t, I should really post an update so you can see how they look now.
